About Braids Caravan Park
This well-manicured site is surrounded by hedging, flowers and leafy cherry trees making it a pretty spot to pitch up and explore Southern Scotland. You'll be just a five minute walk from Gretna village where there are shops, pubs and cafes for a quick trip to town. There are electric and serviced hardstanding pitches on offer, the electric pitches have a 16 amp electric hook-up and measure 5m x 13m. These pitches are suitable for caravans, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and RVs. Take a short walk into town or order a delivery to your pitch for your evening meal, or for those on a romantic break explore Gretnat Green as a wedding destination, famed as the "marriage capital of the UK" . There is also a good bus service that runs to Dumfries and Carlisle near the park entrance. Dogs are welcome to join you for your break too, with up to four permitted per pitch! Please keep dogs on a lead at all times. Sorry, campfires are not permitted, you are welcome to have a BBQ but please ensure it is raised from the ground and supervised at all times.

A five minute walk away is Gretna with lots of places to eat and plenty of shops to mooch, there is also an information room onsite with leaflets and maps of the local area, or ask one of the friendly team for suggestions!
Head to Carlisle or Dumfries by bus or train, with a handy bus stop outside the site entrance. The Lake District National Park can be reached within a 40 minute drive for those adventure seekers! Climb a Wainwright, paddleboard on Ullswater, or wildlife spot in a quiet corner.
The Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) offers pretty coastlines to explore or bring your pup for a scenic dog walk with Powfoot and Annan beaches within a 20 minute drive.
