One of the big benefits of going glamping is that the accommodation is already set up and waiting for you. All you have to do is arrive and enjoy it.
Even the most basic of camping pod holidays tick that box. There's no need to pitch your tent or haul your camping gear from your car. And gone are any arguments caused by arriving late and fighting with broken poles to pitch your tent, before sitting down to a cold barbecue dinner you desperately hope is properly cooked.
The cheaper end of the camping pods market is generally unfurnished. It's literally camping without the tent. But even then, all pods are sturdy, secure and well-insulated. Most have electric lighting, heating and perhaps even a socket or two. There'll be no water leaks, no rolling downhill as you sleep, and no flapping tent noises to wake you up in high winds.
You'll often get French doors opening out onto a nice decked area with a picnic bench too. It's all very civilised - even it there's an argument that you're not really glamping as such.
There can be no argument about that at the luxury end of things however. As with many of the glamping pods listed here, you'll have kitchens, en-suite bathrooms, bedrooms with real beds, and living areas with furniture and a TV.
