Nestled just 15 minutes from the Peak District, Calwich under Canvas ticks all the boxes for a luxury countryside getaway. Absolutely beautiful campsite and Jason couldn't have been more helpful and attentive with everything from helping us get our BBQ going, to letting us come by early to pop off some food we'd brought. The breakfast hampers that were provided were a lovely touch too. The facilities are better than I've seen in a lot of hotels! The showers were divine. I can't recommend this site enough. The cosiness of the yurts with the fire on was so nice but jumping into a steaming hot tub and watching the stars at night was something else. Truly a memorable weekend we won't forget.

Last-minute weekend away for me and my partner, had an amazing stay. Beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in the couple's yurt with a private hot tub and couldn't ask for more, it was beautiful. The whole place was lovey and clean, very well organised. Thank you to the owner for a great experience 😊

We enjoyed 4 nights at "Forget me not" yurt, fireplace inside with supplied wooden logs, hot tub available at request in privacy, clean kitchen, toilets and showers. Plenty of room within the kitchen, actually there were 2 in 1 under the same room which offers space for 2 families to cook and prepare food at the same time. This place is located within easy reach, approx. 20-30min to get to Carsington Waters (full of activities), Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's Kingdom, lovely pubs within Matlock Bath, Wild Park for quad biking. Kids enjoyed making the fire and especially the hot tub and the host, Jason, is very nice. We would definitely return to this place to explore more the lovely area.

Stunning views, great hospitality and a lovely setting for any season. What more could you ask for?! I highly recommend this place, Jason helped out so much and was at our beck and call! Do yourself a favour and book in asap!

Such a lovely place to stay. The couple's yurt with a private hot tub was just perfect for a relaxing, peaceful time away. The kitchen and washing facilities were very clean and well maintained. The hot tub decided to break the day prior to our arrival so Jason spent extra time filling it up with hot water from the tap several times a day which worked really well, you wouldn't have even noticed the issue. Overall a great stay, will definitely be coming back in the future.

The positives: lovely site, the yurts are well laid out and nice, well equipped site and very clean, Jason was very attentive and was brilliant in sorting out the hot tub whenever we wanted to use it, the little food hamper given was a nice touch and the sausage and bacon were quality meat. The negative: having the kids with us 😂

We had an excellent stay at Calwich Under Canvas with our two young kids. Jason was really friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The toilets and shower blocks were spotless, the yurt was super cosy with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We felt very welcome with the kids (2 and 4) despite the site seeming to be more geared towards couples (with the hot tub and sauna). We visited Blaze Farm on the way in and happened to find Daltons Dairy close by which had amazing ice cream and a great place for the kids to play - just what we needed after a long drive. The site was beautiful and felt secluded. The kids loved it and have already asked if we can go back!

Great relaxing night away, everything was really clean and well laid out. The hot tub was lovely, comfy bed and the stove was even burning for us on arrival which made the yurt very cosy. Jason even fired up the sauna for us! The Breakfast box was good, and the facilities were spotless. We will be returning.

An amazing location, the yurts and facilities are excellent and the owner could not have been more accommodating. The breakfast hamper & the hot tub are great additions too, the photos don't do it justice. The Yurts are stunning inside and we will be returning with our friends. Highly recommend and Dovedale is only a 15 minutes drive away & a great day out. We stayed with our younger children who loved the grounds to play in and being able to see the stars at night whilst lying in bed! Can't wait to return!
