Dogwood Camping and Glamping is a quiet, secluded site situated in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, deep in the heart of the East Sussex countryside. There is a mix of non electric and electric grass pitches for tourers, as well as a bell tent, yurt, cabin and static caravan for glampers. A base for exploring the area's fine beaches, close to Rye, Battle and Hastings.

Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday nestled in the East Sussex countryside. The site is lucky to be set in the small village of Brede, just a short stroll over the fields to two excellent pubs. There are 15 grass pitches, 10 without electric and 5 with electric. These are suitable for campers with units up to 6m long, and each can take up to two adults with three children. For glampers, there are a couple of options to choose from. The bell tent sleeps up to two people in two single beds, but guests must bring their own bedding. Additionally, there is a mini fridge, kettle, heater and outside you'll have your own fire pit and seating. The spacious glamping yurt sleeps up to two adults and two children in two single beds, these can also be pushed together to make a double. There is room for children's sleeping mattresses but these are not provided. Please bring your own bedding. Inside there are cosy furnishings such as a wood-burning fire, as well as a mini fridge and kettle. Outside is a private decking with a fire pit and picnic bench seating. The cabin is great for those wanting something a little sturdier. Sleeping up to two adults and a child under 12 in a double futon bed, but please bring a camping mat and bedding for the child. All bedding and linen is provided and you'll have your own compost toilet. The cabin is complete with beanbag seating, a writing desk, mini-fridge, kettle and a heater. Through the sliding doors, you'll find your private decking with a fire bowl, cooking tripod and seating. Finally, the static caravan sleeps up to two adults and a small child with a double bedroom, smaller bedroom, kitchen and lounge. The caravan has views out onto the pony and pygmy goat paddock. There are wonderful woodland and field walks straight from the site. In the evening you can enjoy stargazing, all thanks to magnificent dark skies as there are no street lights! During your stay you can hire out fire bowls. There are logs, firelighters and locally made vegan organic marshmallows available to purchase. These can be brought separately or in a 'campfire package'. A safe and friendly site for children of all ages, little ones particularly enjoy the free-roaming ducks and chickens! Please note, this is a quiet site suitable for families, couples and singles only.

Dark skies and stargazing - this is a wonderful area for stargazing, all thanks to the local village's enlightened view on light pollution (no street lights!). You don't have to be an expert astronomer to appreciate the celestial show on offer for free here - just pack your tent and some warm clothes to enjoy the magical natural illumination from the night sky.
Wine-tasting - a classic example of a fantastic English wine producer, the family-run Carr Taylor Vineyard is literally just down the road from site and offers individual self-guided tours for very reasonable rates. Open every day except Christmas to New Year.
Kite-surfing - thrill-seekers need look no further than the Kite-Surf Centre, just 12 miles down the road in Camber, offering lessons in kite-surfing, kite-boarding, power-kiting, kite-buggying, kite-landboarding and stand up paddle boarding.
Kayaking, paddle boarding or rowing - on River Rother from Bodiam Boating station, 10 minutes drive from the campsite.
