The year round Highlands site at Loch Ness Shores offers panoramic views across the loch to the woodlands and mountains beyond. Eco credentials are important to the site and renewable energy sources include water-to-water geo-thermal and solar thermal, with electricity provided by hydro power. The site has also been designed as low impact, with good use of locally sourced materials. A mix of grass and hardstanding pitches are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with most pitches offering electric hook-up facilities. Fire pits and BBQs are welcome, as are pets.

Two sizes of pod sleep 4-5 people. All have great views, kettle, microwave, TV point, lighting and heater, as well as an outdoor fire pit and picnic bench. Some pods are pet friendly.

The site makes a good base for exploring Loch Ness and the surrounding area, including Urquhart Castle, Fort Augustus, Cannich and Drumnadrochit.
There are plenty of opportunities to get active, for walkers, cyclists and on the water. The South Loch Ness Trail stretches for 28 miles and is a great way of exploring the loch. The Falls of Foyers walk is also popular, as is a stroll to Foyers Pier.
The Great Glen Canoe Trail passes by the site too, with boats and canoes available to hire, as well as access to launch small boats.
During the summer months, archery lessons and guided hill walks are available.
The site is also popular for fishing, with trout and salmon available.
Local wildlife includes red squirrels, badgers, otters, and deer, as well as more than 40 specifies of wild birds.
