About Lucker Mill Shepherd's Huts
Ideal for guests seeking peace and quiet, these cosy, adult only huts are set alongside Lucker Bed and Breakfast, within half an acre of grounds with open countryside views over farmland.
They are nestled in with fir trees behind providing privacy from the house and with open views from the stable door or balcony at the front of the huts.
A wood burner is provided (along with free logs for two days) which makes for a very cosy atmosphere when nights are a bit chilly especially early spring and late autumn. There's no electricity in the huts, only tealights, which add to the special atmosphere.
The double bed will be made up for your arrival with towels, bath mat and dressing gowns.
As the huts are situated in a small village, there is a good local pub for evening meal, then you can come back enjoy the peace and quiet by the fire pit or sit out on your balcony watching the moonlit sky with a glass of something nice.
With the huts being in the countryside, the WiFi or broadband connection may be slow, but perhaps you'll just want away from it all and switch off.
Lucker Mill Shepherd's Huts is open all year round.

A note from the site themselves...
We're striving to create a relaxed environment in the countryside, and have been enjoying the peace and quiet of our family run site since April 2020.
We're very proud of our hand built shepherd's huts, it's lovely to hear so many nice comments about them from our guests.
Our huts fit perfectly with the Bed and Breakfast in the main house next door, who have been in hospitality for over 20 years!
A handcrafted hut featuring, a double bed with bedding, towels and dressing gowns included. A wood burner with wood and coal for two nights and furnished interior inside with access to shared facilities close by. No electric. One dog is welcome.

This is an excellent location, site is spotlessly clean & BBQ on site for all to use. 5 mins walk to the pub & it's a lovely walk into Bamburgh. We will be back.
Site's response
Thank you both for looking after our hut as well and look forward to seeing you both again.

Shepherd's Hut - The Fisherman's Hut (Pet Friendly)Aug 2023
The location was beautiful and very special.
Our hut was located in front of beautiful lavender and the smell was wonderful! If you go be sure to book the Apple Inn as it does book up. However fish and chips on the beach near Bamburgh Castle at sunset was also a special treat.
We brought our young dog and it was a perfect first mini holiday for him. He was made to feel welcome by our hosts.
The bed was very comfortable, the candles made it very cosy along with the log burner. We asked for breakfast and it arrived in a lovely little basket each morning with a lovely range of food. We ate it outside listening to birdsong and buzzing bees.
A highly relaxing mini getaway located nearby many great parts of Northumberland. I would highly recommend! We would love to come again!

Shepherd's Hut - The Woodman's Hut (Pet Friendly) Jul 2023
A lovely area and very peaceful.
Beautiful views from the hut, especially lovely when sitting out in the evening. Lots of space inside for storage. The little log burner was used once and made the hut very cosy and warm, lasting ages! The bed was nice, though could do with a topper as it was a little firm for me. There was plenty of space though and blankets, loved the sheepskins!
It is dog friendly, which made all the difference. No electricity in the hut but loved the fact it had little electric tealights. Toilet block was very good and clean. All equipment was in there and it was clean. Would have liked the tea caddy to have been filled for a cuppa when we got there and maybe a small amount of milk but a small detail.
Very friendly and helpful host. Would stay again!
