A note from the site themselves...
We started Whitlingham Broad Campsite in 2013 - using the back of our campervan as an office! Moving here from the city centre to work closer with nature and so our gorgeous dog Mr Murphy could be at work with us!
Over the years not only have we hand crafted glamping options, built washrooms and dug drainage we've also added to our family, and become a four (and many animals) - the site is family run and welcomes all families and individuals from all walks of life to enjoy the wonderful area.
Today our lovely slice of countryside lies within the country park and offers the opportunity to snuggle down with loved ones, breath in the fresh air and get back to nature, add a bit more luxury with our glamping options and have a giggle around the campfire. Head out for a walk, get out on the waters, stargaze or hit the city shops.
The adventures are endless here in the Norfolk Broads and we cannot wait to welcome you.

Lovely stay in Ronnie the railway carriage.
I was really pleased that they let us check in late as we had a huge drive across the country. The railway carriage was well equipped and clean. I'm not usually fan of having to use toilet blocks but we were really close, and the toilets and showers were kept clean.
Lovely location for a dog walk and chilling.
Great site.

VW-Type Campervan - Lower Meadow Non Electric Grass PitchesMar 2024
We love Whitlingham Broad Campsite, this is our third time here.
We love how close it is to city centre, but also how you are so close to nature and away at the same time. The site itself is super welcoming and a lovely stay. However, we notice that the lower field floods very quickly with downpour meaning big puddles. This isn't pleasant as there is no downward hill for it to run down, meaning it gets very swampy. We also arrived at 12pm and was charged an 'early check in' when there was only other 4 vans on there, and felt this was a little cheeky considering considering the lack of people on the field.
We would definitely come again and would love a few pitches to be electric to allow more facilities for us, but other than that, a good site.
A great stay outside Norwich

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Lower Meadow Non Electric Grass PitchesMar 2024
We stayed for 4 nights in our campervan over the Easter weekend at £25 pn for 2 people.
We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The facilities were good and it looks like they may have also just installed some new facilities for campervans which were not yet up and running (looked like water and waste drainage in lower field for campervans).
Mix of glamping, tents and campervan pitches on site. Staff were friendly and operated a walkie talkie call system for when they weren't able to be at the office. Lower field had flat pitches which was good. We liked that we could use our own fire pit or hire one and they sold wood onsite at a reasonable price.
A short walk across the road is the country park cafe and plenty of walks and activities around (dry ski slope, water sports centre, and an electric bike/scooter station with app based hire). A 15 minute cycle into Norwich city, which was good for a day out 😊
