Nature takes centre stage at this delightfully calm and tranquil camping and touring site set within the Blackdown Hills. Designed to keep camping simple yet fun, guests have a choice of grass or hardstanding pitches, catering to tents, caravans and motorhomes. There is also a choice of five secluded pitches situated within the woodland here, made for tents only, and each enjoying their own unique spot on site. Woodland pitches are situated within the forest between the fishing lakes and main camping area here, and feature their own fire pit plus a picnic bench fit for the whole family. A bundle of wood for the fire is also provided on arrival. Additional pitches available in the overflow camping meadow during the summer months. If you fancy a more luxurious hideaway during your stay, why not choose a break in one of the stylish bell tents on site. All readily set up and awaiting your arrival, you can enjoy views over the lake on site as well as the lush woodland setting. The Snowdrop bell tent sleeps up to four and boasts its very own stargazing window. Beds provided, and a private bathroom is only a short stroll away. Step outside and cook up a culinary treat in the outdoor kitchen area - all crockery/cutlery supplied. Or relax in the glamping yurt on site complete with its own bathroom (a short walk away), bed and bedding, gas hob and electric.
The site is open all year round for hardstanding pitches. Camping and glamping are available from 31st March until end of September. The meadow overflow field is available between 3rd May and 31st August.

Kingsmead is a quiet family campsite. Please be prepared to respect the following rules to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests:
• No noise after 9pm weeknights & 10pm Friday and Saturday. No amplified music at all.
• Please respect the facilities provided. If you accidently break /damage something, please let us know.
• The site speed limit is 5 miles per hour
• Only barbless hooks for fishing
• No unsupervised children under 14 by the lakes
• Strictly NO swimming in the lakes
• Put your rubbish in the bin—please use the recycling facilities provided
• All dogs to be kept on a lead on the main site—please help yourself to clean up bags provided on the bins.
• No open fires without a suitable fire pit or BBQ. Do not bring large bits of wood in from the land next door.
• Do not leave any open fire unattended
• Please refrain from leaving tissue in the woods—use a toilet!

The fishing lakes are part of the scenic setting here, with two lakes for pleasure angling at no extra cost. A rod licence is required.
You're in the Blackdown Hills AONB, with plenty to see and discover - don't miss a visit to the animals at Axe Valley Wildlife Park. For keen explorers, the site has a superb network of footpaths taking you through some of the stunning scenery nearby.
Devon and Somerset are also at your fingertips, ideal for a daytrip in the car.
