About Coxhill Camping
This scenic seven acre site is surrounded by fields and lined by mature trees, great for those looking for a countryside escape. Set on a working arable farm, you might spot the odd tractor rolling past! The site offers 55 pick-your-own non electric grass pitches in the main field, so you can find where suits you best. The grass pitches are suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes, allowing up to six guests and measuring a minimum of 10m x 10m. There are also 10 gravel pitches available with 16 amp electric hook up in a separate area adjacent to the main grass field. The electric is pay as you go on arrival. They are 10m x 10m and suitable for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. You will be provided with a real camping experience with space to relax, surroundings to explore and a peaceful break from your daily routines. With an enchanting ten-acre private woodland attached to the campsite, it's perfect to enjoy some adventure with your family and a great place for an off-lead stroll with your dog. This is also a great spot if you're a keen walker, with footpaths straight from the site leading you into the stunning Kent countryside. Shepherdswell Village is also located on the North Downs Way making the site a popular stopover option for backpackers taking on the trail. Complete your experience around a campfire, toasting marshmallows and gazing up at the night sky to spot shooting stars, the onsite firepit and log shack will have everything you need! The local tourist hotspots such as the White Cliffs of Dover, Dover Castle, the City of Canterbury and the beach are all only a 15 minute drive away. A short drive from Dover Ferry Port, also makes this site an ideal place to stay before or after a ferry crossing. Dogs are welcome, with up to two allowed per pitch.
The gravel pitches are open from April to 31st October while the grass pitches are open from 23rd May to 14th September.

Gravel pitches with metered pay as you go 16 amp electric in the field adjacent to the main grass field. Suitable for campervans, caravans and motorhomes and measure 10m x 10m. Sorry, no gazebos.

Things to do on site and in the Dover area
With access to picturesque walking trails, this is a great location for guests just wanting to unwind in the surrounding countryside. But, if you do want to head out for the day, the mainline station at Shepherdswell is just a 20 minute walk, so you can easily explore the nearby sites.
The famous White Cliffs of Dover are just a 15 minute drive from the site. This beautiful hiking area is perfect on a clear day with views out across the coast, you can enjoy a picturesque walk or simply sit back with a picnic and soak in the sea breeze.
A ten minute drive will also take you to Dover Castle, a military museum within a magnificent medieval castle. The English Heritage site has lots to do, from exploring the castle walls to taking in the vistas from the rooftop.
A 15 minute drive will take you to the City of Canterbury where you can visit Canterbury Cathedral. The Cathedral is a unique place of worship, a major pilgrimage destination, a masterpiece of art and architecture and one of the UK's most visited destinations.
Secret Wartime Tunnels (15 minutes) is a great spot for history lovers. Learn about the story of Dunkirk, see the underground hospital and even take on challenges in the bunker!
A five minute drive will take you to the East Kent Railway Trust where a vintage steam train will take you through charming villages. You can also see the miniature and model railway or enjoy a trip to the tearoom.
If you need somewhere for the kids to burn off some steam, Lower Leas Coastal Park is just a half an hour drive away. There is a fun outdoor play park for children, along with picturesque gardens.
