Our stay here was wonderful. Location loses one star due to the closeness to A31 and traffic noise, but we knew that before booking. The site is simple but friendly, clean and stunning. We can wholly recommend this site, especially for short stays.

Staff were very welcoming. Others around the site were polite and respectful. We did notice a very large group of 20 somethings who were playing loud music for around 20 mins, but I think someone must have said something to them and they turned it down. Very lovely one night away.
Convenient and value for money

Was a lovely stay, nice and remote - but also full of life with the local animals and wildlife! Would 100% recommend to others!

The campsite itself was enough for what we needed, although couldn't find a drinking tap? Basic facilities but we are used to camping with little to nothing anyway so it was nice to have the basics. We struggled with the location of tent camping, hoped for some sunshine but had trees around us, that was a minimal problem. Great arrival, friendly staff - can't fault them whatsoever. The only thing we struggled with was a big group of families that played loud music and cooked beyond the time stated, screaming kids gone 11pm. The second night, they had their own karaoke and left their engines on with lights beaming onto our tents. We took it upon ourselves to ask to turn the car lights off. We did try and call the campsite on the first night but couldn't get through. All in all, we still had a lovely stay in the wilderness with our young kids!

Everything about this site is lovely, including the staff. My only criticism is that they could do with managing how people park. Having no allocated pitches is fine, but there is a lot of wasted space because visitors park ridiculously, taking up a lot more space than they need. As a result, it was not busy mind, we struggled to find a place. Otherwise, brilliant.
Brilliant stay, would definitely return

Had a lovely weekend here. Great pitches (pick your own), great areas and plenty of choices for tents, campervans and caravans. Toilet area clean and all you need for your trip, set in a lovely location with wild horses, donkies, cows, and deer able to go anywhere they like. Overall, was all I was looking for for a peaceful weekend and will definitely return.

No showers or electricity but a pleasant parking surrounded by nature and gentle stuff. Great for one or a few nights but, if you're not autonomous with power and shower not much more than that. Even more if you're travelling with a baby. To me it's 5 stars.

Beautiful site in a beautiful part of the country. We live in our motorhome and therefore have extensive experience of sites throughout the UK. Obviously no good for those who rely on electric hook up, but for those who can survive off grid, this is a nature and wildlife haven. Staff are friendly and helpful. No showers but toilet block and washing up area are clean and well maintained. Only criticism is that the roadways and hardstanding bays need attention to erosion and potholes. Otherwise an amazing site to which we will definitely return.

Friendly reception and good on call staff. They were helpful when we needed them after hours. Close to the road, but good as a stop over as it is close to A31, if you're passing through to the south west.
