Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

If you’re daft for dinosaurs and go ape for animals then Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is the place to go for huge amounts of entertainment. Be awed by the Dinosaur Show, get ready for the ride of your life with the Earthquake Canyon Train Ride and discover fantastic fossils in the Dinosaur Museum. Once you’ve finished exploring the past, step into the present with a fantastic assortment of animals, from lions and raccoons to penguins and endangered White Hudson Bay Wolves. With such a large variety of attractions this is a wild day out for all the family. Online ticket prices are £12.50 for adults and £8.50 for children aged 3 to 15.

Woodlands Leisure Park

Woodlands Leisure Park boasts a number of zoned areas that offer a great choice of rides and attractions to thrill every visitor, from intrepid teens to tiny tots. The Falconry Centre is full of winged wonders and the Zoo-Farm which is home to more than 300 animals is also a highlight that shouldn’t be missed. The park is located in Totnes in South Devon, with online day entry tickets costing £13.68 for adults and children at least 110cm tall, while tickets for children 92cm to 110cm tall cost £9.64 and there is free entry for children under 92cm.

Crealy Great Adventure Park

Do you like speeding through water tubes, careening round the tracks on a rollercoaster or think you’ve got what it takes to be a Grand Prix driver? Well head to Crealy Great Adventure Park in Clyst St Mary and get stuck in to a host of rides that won’t fail to thrill. Plus there’s a host of attractions just for pre-school kids so they don’t miss out on the fun either. Why not trot over to the pony ride arena or check out the range of cute and cuddly animals in Pets Paddock. Tickets for individuals taller than 100cm are £11.96 if purchased online, £7.96 for children between 92cm and 100cm tall and free for children shorter than 92cm.

Milky Way Adventure Park

Fancy a ride on Devon’s tallest, quickest and longest rollercoaster? Get ready for blast off with the Cosmic Typhoon which is sure to cause more than an undignified scream or two from passengers as they whizz round at speeds that reach in excess of 40 mph. The wide variety of other attractions at the Milky Way Adventure Park include a birds of prey show, an 18-hole mini golf course, entertainments designed just for young children, a laser target shooting range and an archery centre that is sure to hit the mark for fantastic family fun. The park is a ten-minute drive from Bideford. Online tickets for adults and children aged 3 and older cost £11 from spring to autumn and £7 in winter (when the park is only open on weekends and school holidays). Entry is free for kids under 3 years old.

Watermouth Castle and Family Theme Park

Combining the magic of a fairy-tale Victorian castle and a theme park full of diverse attractions, Watermouth Castle and Family Theme Park has something for everyone, including the likes of a Haunted Mill, a carousel ride and the Great Adventure Playground. Discover the world of gnomes in Gnome Land, try not to get lost in the maze, and marvel at the displays in the castle, from suits of armour to the Dungeon Labyrinths and a recreated Victorian kitchen. Adult tickets are £13.25, tickets for children up to 13 years old cost £11.25 and kids under 92cm tall get free entry.
